The Office of the Provost is seeking nominations for both the Nevada Regents’ Teaching Award and the Nevada Regents’ Academic Advisor Awards.
NEVADA REGENTS’ TEACHING AWARD
Nominations are due September 21, 2007, for the Nevada Regents’ Teaching Award, an annual recognition of outstanding faculty in the NSHE.

Although Jen Huntleysmith is a humanities person, having spent time as an instructor in the Core Humanities Program, fulltime visiting professor in the Department of History and coordinator of academics and outreach for the Academy for the Environment, she’s clearly emblematic of a new type of multi-disciplinary humanities faculty member who can stand with equal confidence in the world of science.

Thirteen University faculty members were chosen by University Studies Abroad Consortium to teach in other countries during the 2008-09 academic year. These faculty members will have the opportunity to teach in places such as Chile, China, Costa Rica, France, Germany, Italy and Spain as part of the USAC program.

The University posthumously awarded Cole Campbell an honorary doctorate of humane letters at the Advanced Degree Commencement Ceremony, May 18, on the historic University Quadrangle. Campbell was Reynolds School of Journalism.
