University of Nevada School of Medicine receives $1 million Ryan White Grant for HIV Prevention and Care Services

Echezona Ezenolue, M.D., M.P.H., a University of Nevada School of Medicine assistant professor of pediatrics and infectious disease specialist, received a $1 million Ryan White Title II grant from the State of Nevada to provide a comprehensive program of prevention and care services to HIV positive pregnant women, children and adolescents.

Reynolds School of Journalism wins $430,000 grant

The American Society of Newspaper Editors has awarded the Reynolds School of Journalism a $430,000, three-year grant to train high school newspaper advisors. The first institute will be offered July 15-27 at the University.

Buxton conducts research for the March of Dimes

In its ongoing effort to predict and prevent premature birth, the March of Dimes announced support for the innovative research of eight scientists with combined grant awards of $3 million. One of the eight grants was awarded to Dr. Iain Buxton, professor of pharmacology and of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Nevada School of Medicine.

Teacher receives International Reading Association grant

Victims of Crime Treatment Center awarded $240,000 grant
