Where is the Library in Summer 2008?

Getchell Library officially begins its move to the new Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center at  5 p.m. on Friday, May 16, 2008. During the move, a portion of Getchell Library will remain open to provide ongoing library and computing services. 

  • Books and journals from Getchell Library will be available by request, either 
    • Through the library’s online catalog at  http://innopac.library.unr.edu/ or
    • In person at Getchell Library’s lobby deskBooks will be retrieved and made available for customer pickup at Getchell’s lobby desk.
  • Online access to journals and electronic databases will continue without interruption.
  • Some computers will continue to be available in Getchell Library.
  • Library reference services will continue to be available.
  • All Special Collections materials will be available only by advance appointment.
  • Some Basque Library materials will be available only by advance appointment.  Basque Library books can be requested for pickup.
  • Business and Government Information Center (BGIC) materials and reference service will be available by request.
  • The Book Nook used bookstore will be closed during this period.
  • The DeLaMare Library will be open as usual.
  • The Life & Health Sciences Library will offer limited services, including reserves and public-use computers.
