Ebner, Reid named November Employees of the Month

Desi Ebner, University Communications. During her department’s major restructuring Desi stepped up and did a tremendous amount of work that is beyond her assigned duties. She made sure everyone received their check and that their new locations had the furniture/equipment that they needed to get their work done. She helped the University Communications department get going in a great new direction.

Fred Reid, Art. Fred’s day to day activity alone go far above and beyond his job requirements. He arrives at work at 6 a.m. every morning, even when sick, to unlock the building. His reason being he doesn’t want to let students or faculty down. He is always willing to lend a hand to everyone in the art department, most recently aiding the printmaking department when renovating their entire studio space. He has a superb understanding of art, and use this knowledge to engage and challenge the individual needs of the students at the University of Nevada, Reno. Fred gives workshops to local high schools for free to recruit students to the University.
