Faculty/staff discount available for advanced management program
Since its inception in 1999, more than 100 companies, organizations and government agencies from throughout northern Nevada have sent key individuals to attend the Advanced Management Program offered through Extended Studies and the College of Business Administration at the University of Nevada, Reno.
The Advanced Management Program is a certificate series for participants who want to update their knowledge and skills in business theory and practice. Designed for professional and personal growth, the program is a broad survey of subject areas normally found in business school MBA programs. It is recommended for those who wish to explore key management topics, learn essential business strategies, and build on previous management training.
“The program features interaction with many of the nationally prominent faculty of the University’s College of Business Administration,” said Greg Mosier, newly appointed dean of the college. Faculty for the program are professors and lecturers in the University’s College of Business Administration.
The 12-session Advanced Management Program begins with a full-day orientation/workshop held Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., followed by 11 evening sessions on select Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 6-9 p.m., Sept. 25, Oct. 2, Oct. 9, Oct. 16, Oct. 23, Oct. 30, Nov. 7, Nov. 14, Nov. 28 and Dec. 5 and Dec. 12, 2007. All sessions are held at the University of Nevada, Reno Redfield Campus, 18600 Wedge Parkway, Reno.
A special course fee for University faculty and staff is $1,000 — a savings of $875 off the regular fee of $1,875.Tuition includes course books and materials, daily refreshments, orientation lunch and graduation reception. Early registration is required.
