On Aug. 20-21, pedestrian in ground crosswalk lights were installed at College and Virginia. According to University Police Services, an effort is still underway to try to get lights installed further south on Virginia.

The Nevada Department of Transportation has approved the University’s request to install permanent digital speed signs on both Sierra and Virginia. As soon as Adam Garcia, director of University Police Services receives a date for installation, he will notify the campus about it.

Garcia also noted that a Pedestrian Safety Enforcement Campaign commences this week as the university begins classes. University Police Services and the Reno Traffic Enforcement Unit will be taking part in this traffic campaign.
