Annual Diversity Report for campus now available online

The Annual Diversity Report to the Faculty Senate, compiled by Michael Coray, special assistant to the president for diversity, is now available online at http://www.unr.edu/sapd/documents/Final_2006-2007DiversityReport.pdf

In the overview, the report notes that six committees are the subject of the report: Advocates and Allies for LGBTQ Issues; the Committee on the Status of Women; the Multiethnic Coalition; the Intercultural Council; the University Disabilities Resource Coalition; the Work and Family Taskforce.

The report also states that, “Transition, year to year, is a hallmark of each of the diversity committees. But what began as just another ‘transition year’ in membership and leadership ended with a resurgent vitality for each of the committees as new voices added new energy. Each is now poised to add action to its’ traditional role of advocacy.”
