University Police to monitor roadways for drunk drivers

University Police will be joining other local law enforcement agencies this weekend to keep drunk drivers off Nevada roadways. A grant from the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety, under the Joining Forces program, will provide overtime funds for the extra patrols on roads immediately surrounding the University of Nevada, Reno.

Pedestrian safety at forefront as semester begins

On Aug. 20-21, pedestrian in ground crosswalk lights were installed at College and Virginia. According to University Police Services, an effort is still underway to try to get lights installed further south on Virginia.

New travel policy clarified

State agency helps senior volunteer program buy a car
