‘Girl Bullying’ conference, Oct. 5-6

The Ophelia Project, in collaboration with local groups, is presenting a two-day conference Oct. 5-6 addressing the issue of bullying among girls: the exclusion, gossip, rumor-spreading, covert and overt aggression, and the destruction of self-worth that make it difficult for girls to be confident and successful.
Seiden named University Health System chief business officer
Craig Seiden’s role as chief business officer for University Health System, the multi-specialty clinical practice of the University of Nevada School of Medicine, has been expanded to include the running of northern clinical operations.

Well it’s that time again when most of us are thinking about summer vacations, and that usually means going to a recreation area like a national park, a beach, a lake or anywhere that you can enjoy outdoor activities. You couldn’t ask for a better opportunity to exercise while having fun. Allow me to give you some examples of recreational activities and their caloric values.
Summer film series in Getchell library continues
The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures invites the community to its Summer 2007 Film Series. The purpose is to present a variety of films which portray the society, the cultures and people of different countries. This series will focus on American Musicals and selected movies.
