Susan Donaldson was recognized for her contributions in outreach through programs that address pressing water quality issues via educational programs. She currently serves as Water Quality Education Specialist for the Western Area Cooperative Extension in Nevada.

In addition, Donaldson has coordinated the Small Ranch Water Quality Program since 1994, providing one-on-one assistance to small acreage owners. Her work with the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection’s Nonpoint Source has been deemed an invaluable and effective component of the Pollution Management Program education/outreach efforts for the past 13 years.

In 2003, Dr. Donaldson co-authored a Watershed Protection Plan for the Truckee River Tributaries that is currently undergoing implementation.
