Dana Davis Forum in Education, May 2

Stephen Lafer, associate professor of curriculum, teaching and learning, is organizing the Dana Davis Forum in Education at 7 p.m., May 2 in the William Raggio Building Student Lounge.

The discussion titled “Empowerment: Is it for Real and Does It Work?” will include panelists Lisa Noonan, Washoe County School District; Nat Lommori, superintendent, Lyon County School District; Lisa Reese, principal, Lee Antonello Elementary School, Las Vegas (an empowerment school); and Andy Kelly, principal of Hug High School.

The Dana Davis Forum is sponsored by the College of Education and, for the last five years, has offered presentations and discussions to raise awareness about issues in elementary and secondary education.
