By: Zanny Marsh

April 5th, 2007

The Basque Library, in collaboration with the Center for Basque Studies, has organized an exhibit to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Basque studies at the University.

Running through May, the Getchell Gallery on the main floor of Getchell Library will exhibit “Building Basque Studies since 1967,” which includes eight large panels tracing the the history of the Basque Library and the Center for Basque Studies in photographs and text.

Many thanks go to Janice Jones for believing in this project and designing the panels. Thanks also to Duncan Aldrich and Tod Colegrove at DataWorks, to Gloria Totoricaguena, Xabier Irujo for writing the texts, and to Mike Simons for his advice on the project. Last but not least, thanks to Jill Berner, Kate Camino, Hilda Centeno, and Veronica Riglick for their invaluable contribution to this project.
