In the last three years, mroe than 75 University employees developed back pain while working. Most occupational back pain is related to one or more of the following factors: Force, repetition, postural issues or stress.

Lawlor Events Center will be transformed into a European-style village where middle and high school French, Spanish, German and Italian language students will immerse themselves in new cultures and languages. The Polyglot Village welcomes students from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., March 31.

On March 27 from noon - 1 p.m., the Administrative Faculty Personnel Policy and Procedures Committee will host its spring Brown Bag lunch. The title of this lunch is “Governing Documents and Recent Amendments 101 (for Administrative Faculty).” A live video conference will be held for Las Vegas administrative faculty who wish to participate.

From the beginning of his hour-long presentation to representatives of the Staff Employees Council on Tuesday in the Reynolds School of Journalism, University President Milt Glick eschewed his Blackberry almost entirely, kept the slides in his PowerPoint presentation to a minimum, and made more than a few veiled references to his favorite cottage industry – the 3-inch by 4-inch index card business.
