Lombardi Rec Motivator: T’ai Chi workshop, March 31
T’ai Chi is a no-impact, slow and continuous exercise that has been described as “swimming in air” or “meditation in movement.” The Chinese say that whoever practices T’ai Chi twice daily carefully and correctly, “will gain the pliability of a child, the strength of a lumberjack and the peace of mind of a sage.”
Campus Recreation and Wellness is offering a T’ai Chi class beginning Saturday, March 31 in Lombardi Recreation Building Room 224-B. The cost is $20 per person.
This workshop will be presented by Mark Lord and will focus on basic principles and exercises. Mark has been practicing T’ai Chi for 28 years and studied under Liu His-Heng in Taiwan for 5 years.
