Administrative faculty committee to host Brown Bag lunch, March 27
On March 27 from noon - 1 p.m., the Administrative Faculty Personnel Policy and Procedures Committee will host its spring Brown Bag lunch. The title of this lunch is “Governing Documents and Recent Amendments 101 (for Administrative Faculty).”
Topics covered will include the recent amendment regarding grievance of evaluation rating and merit, clarification of the existing governing documents, their purpose, who proposes changes, where administrative faculty might want to focus attention, and why it is important to review and vote on amendments.
The documents covered will be the Board of Regents Handbook, University Administrative Manual, as well as University and Faculty Senate bylaws. Faculty Senate’s Governing Documents web page.
There will be additional information on the purpose of the Faculty Senate, representation of administrative faculty, how to get involved and more.
There will be a live video conference of this session for those of you in Las Vegas. For those of you not in the Reno or Las Vegas areas, the session will be video taped and made available on the University’s streaming server.
