Andreas Feldmann will present a lecture, “Terrorism in Colombia,” an examination of the terrorist tactics used to achieve military and political goals. Feldmann is an assistant professor of political science at Catholic University in Chile. The talk will begin at 4 p.m., March 5 in Jot Travis Student Union, room 245.
The School of Medicine has published the 2007 edition of the Nevada Rural and Frontier Health Data Book. The publication offers the most current and comprehensive source of county-level data on health and healthcare in Nevada.
The Church Fine Arts Building sustained flood damage when a water pipe burst in a third floor ceiling shortly before 8 p.m., Monday Feb. 19. Students working in a photography laboratory notified authorities and evacuated immediately. No injuries were reported.

Silvia Baraldini moved from Italy to the United States in the 1960’s and began a life of political activism at the height of the Civil Rights Movement. In 1983, she was convicted and sentenced to serve 43 years for helping to free a female Black Panther activist from prison. The Sheppard Fine Arts Gallery will present “SILVIA,” a one-hour rough cut of her story at 6 p.m., Feb. 22, at the Nevada Museum of Art.
The College of Arts and Science at the University of Missouri will honor University of Nevada President Milton Glick with a Distinguished Service Award Feb. 16 during its annual Arts and Science Week.
