Visiting scholar presents ‘Terrorism in Colombia,’ March 5

Andreas Feldmann will present a lecture, “Terrorism in Colombia,” an examination of the terrorist tactics used to achieve military and political goals. Feldmann is an assistant professor of political science at Catholic University in Santiago de Chile. The talk will begin at 4 p.m., March 5 in Jot Travis Student Union, room 245.

Feldmann’s research specializes in international relations, political violence and population uprooting in Latin America. He has published articles on terrorism, forced migration and human rights violations and has served as a Special Consultant of the Inter-American Commission of Human Rights (2000-6)

The event is sponsored by the department of political science, the International Affairs Program, the Northern Nevada International Center, and the Latino Research Center.
