Police Beat: New office opens in Las Vegas

University Police Services has opened a new, part-time office in Las Vegas within the University Cooperative Extension Building at 8050 S. Maryland Parkway, Suite 115. Officers staffing the new branch will handle some University criminal investigations.
University officers will handle investigations that Metro Police don’t, such as low value thefts. In addition, the officers will be doing campus and community outreach on safety issues such as rape defense training. The new office is staffed by University police officers who travel from Reno to Las Vegas periodically.
