Shuttle route work, Oct. 16 - 21
As part of the ongoing work for the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center and the Joe Crowley Student Union, starting on Oct. 16, 2006 and extending through the morning of October 21, 2006, the contractor will be doing some work on the Shuttle Route at the northeast corner of the Brian Whalen Parking Complex. The work is scheduled as follows:
- Monday, October 16th: 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Tuesday, October 17th: 10 p.m.to 6 a.m.
- Wednesday, October 18th: 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
- Thursday, October 19th: 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Friday, October 20th: 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Saturday, October 21st: 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Monday through Wednesday nights will be demolition work and earth work. During these three days, the east entrance to Brian Whalen Parking Complex and the shuttle route (between 15th & the Raggio Building) will be closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Thursday and Friday will involve forming curb and pouring concrete curb and sidewalk. For this work on Thursday and Friday, the contractor will require access to one lane of the shuttle route, so flaggers will control traffic flow in the shuttle roadway at the northeast corner of the Brian Whalen Parking Complex.
During this work only one entry/exit will be available at the east entry to the Brian Whalen Parking Complex. But flaggers will direct traffic so that entrance to and exiting from the Brian Whalen Parking Complex will be possible.
Saturday morning will involve patching the pavement so that the shuttle roadway and the east entrance to the Brian Whalen Parking Complex are open for the Saturday afternoon football game and activities.
