Grants.gov workshops
The Office of Sponsored Projects’ Grants.gov Workshops are back! You have four sessions to choose from:
All sessions are in the E.L. Cord Lab in Getchell Library.
Please indicate your first, second and third choice by sending an e-mail to mhoyt@unr.edu. Seating is limited so please register early.
Grants.gov is the electronic portal for submitting federal funding proposals. This portal will soon be mandatory for submitting proposals to agencies such as NIH and NSF. This is an important educational opportunity for those planning on submitting proposals to the federal government in the future.
This training session will familiarize you with:
Locating funding opportunities and pulling the appropriate application package
Downloading the PurEdge software for PCs and the alternate method available for MAC users
Putting an NSF grants.gov application together, including tips and tricks on preventing unsuccessful submissions for NSF and NIH
Changes to proposal preparation timelines and procedures
Differences between the Grants.gov SF 424 forms and the previous Fastlane or NIH 398 form requirements
This will be a “hands-on” training that will give you the opportunity to interact with the website and the applicable forms. We hope to see you there!
