Office of Sponsored Projects offers workshops

You are invited to register for the Office of Sponsored Projects Workshop Series! You are welcome to choose any of the workshops individually or to attend all six.

These six (6) workshops provide an in depth view of the life cycle of grants and contracts from how to write proposals to compliance to close-out once the project is completed. Seating is limited so register early. Click on “Training Calendar” then one of the red “Registration” buttons and choose “WS1”, “WS2”; “WS3”; “WS4”; WS5”; and/or “WS6” from the menu. The series begins Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2006 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and continues the first Tuesday of each month at the same time thereafter. The series includes:

  • Workshop 1: OSP Overview, Roles & Responsibilities, Key Policies & Procedures
  • November 14, 2006

  • Workshop 2: Finding Funding and Writing Winning Proposals
  • December 12, 2006

  • Workshop 3: Budgeting Policies and Forms, Regulations, Cost Share, F&A
  • January 9, 2007

  • Workshop 4: Award Negotiation, Set-up, Modification, and Management
  • February 13, 2007

  • Workshop 5: Regulatory Compliance & Intellectual Property
  • March 13, 2007

  • Workshop 6: Close-out, Audit, Transfer of Awards, and Final Overview of Research Administration
  • There is no cost other than your time to attend the series. A certificate of completion will be provided to those who attend all six workshops. You can find additional information here.

    VIDEOCONFERENCING PARTICIPANTS ONLY: Please specify the location of your videoconferencing after your department name (e.g. Surgery/Las Vegas). There is no space limit for remote site attendees.
