Conference examines teacher education

The Nevada chapter of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education and the Nevada Association of Teacher Educators will host “Purposeful Partnerships,” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, Oct. 6 in the William Raggio Building, Room 1003 on the Reno campus.

William Sparkman, dean of the College of Education, will open the conference. Keith Rhealt, superintendent of public instruction for the Nevada Department of Education, will deliver a morning keynote address. The conference program will include sessions led by Jane West, AACTE vice president for governmental and external relations, and a panel of administrators drawn from Douglas, Washoe, and Lyon counties.
